Fostering Process

Experience Required
We only accept foster applications from individuals with years of dog ownership experience. While we’re always here to support you, we don’t have the time to coach new or inexperienced dog foster parents on the basics.
Be Flexible
We’re looking for fosters who are “get it done” people—those who can adapt to the needs of the dog and their unique situation. Fostering often comes with surprises, so being flexible and solution-oriented is essential.

We’ll provide every bit of information we have about the dog’s history and needs so you can be as prepared as possible.
